Having only three series on my winter anime cart, I have been re-reading lately some of the mangas that I’m regularly checking for new releases. One of these is the nice but fairly sad story of Kimi Koi Limit, a yuri manga.

While the plot is a somewhat clichéd bizarre love triangle, I’m really enjoying reading Kimi Koi Limit mainly because it’s nicely drawn, well-paced, emotionally engaging, and stimulatingly expressive.  It also doesn’t have that heavy atmosphere because comical fluffs are being thrown in before the drama fully consumed the reader. True love has spiritual dimensions, while romantic love is a lie.
A myth. A soulless manipulation. And speaking of manipulation …
lt’s like going to the movies and seeing the lovers kiss …
The music swells, and we buy it, right?

Usually these moments are wherein the characters stare at each other’s eyes, hold hands, cling arms, and kiss each others’ lips. In most cases, these acts are meant to stimulate heart-pounding, temperature arising, and exciting sensational effects. Because of this, I find it so interesting how we fall in love just by watching and reading. As a matter of fact, some viewers become so compelled by the scenes, making them imagine that the characters that they’re watching are their husbandos or waifus.

True language has always been argued to be divided into speech and writing. The dichotomous nature of these two traditionally positions writing inferior to speech. This is because it’s always been considered that words are derived from voice—an assumption that says speech is closer to the truth. However, if we’re going to analyze, presenting ideas is all about finding identity and purpose. Human expression is subjugated by our own perception and that discernment’s fabrication of our world.
