Nekomonogatari

Nekomonogatari relived Hanekawa’s past and cat history. Personally, I find her as the most underrated character; that’s why it’s nice how Shaft dedicated a short series solely for her. This show may not have the same magical feel that I experienced with Bakemonogatari but it’s evocative how it catwalked us through to the hallmark of Monogatari’s one-of-a-kind perversion—the intricately artsy and titillating poses.

If last week we were blown away by Kanbaru’s seductiveness, then surely this week has a different picture. With just a flick of a switch, all of a sudden Senjougahara is back on track. This girl doesn’t need to get naked to slobber her fanbase because all she has to do is to . . . *smeyes*. . .  And voila! She has imprisoned us with her sadistic glares.

Sci-fi mystery wrapped with imaginative bizarreness is the theme that caught my attention and brought me into watching Denpa Onna to Seishum Otoku. I’m liking this series because of its minimalist approach–what you see is what you see. I don’t think the plotline is complicated at all, but I do believe that its simplicity creates illusory and makes viewers expect for more. Continue reading →
